This Week in Peptides: FDA Sends Peptide Policy to the White House
1. FDA sends interim peptide policy for review
On October 14, 2026, the White House budget office (OMB) got an FDA item called "Interim Access Policy for Compounding Using Certain Peptides." See the government listing. The listing gives no details.
NBC News and the AP report, citing people familiar with the plan, that it would let pharmacies make some popular peptides, including BPC-157, without the FDA taking action against them. (NBC News, AP)
2. Why it matters
In July, outside FDA advisers recommended loosening limits on 6 of 7 peptides they reviewed. FDA staff scientists said none had been studied enough, NBC reports. Reuters reports that Hims & Hers has said it plans to offer peptides if the rules allow.
3. FDA keeps warning "research only" sellers
In 2026 the FDA warned several sellers of "research use only" peptides. See our warning letters tracker.
